Fondazione Ernesto Illy for ROOTS

The Fondazione Ernesto Illy supports the ROOTS project, created by AIW (Association for the Integration of Women, founded in 2020) with the collaboration of several public and private partners. 

ROOTS is a project of integration and social inclusion addressed to migrant women located in Modena, Italy. Through food and the offered training courses, these women can share their culture (not only on the culinary side) and open themselves up to concrete opportunities to enter in the working world and inside the food service sector.

The project includes the establishment of a multi-purpose and cosmopolitan place: a real restaurant, opened to public from Thursday to Sunday, where the trainees can put into practice the skills they have learned during the training courses.

The Fondazione Ernesto Illy contributes to organize some training days offered by the University of Coffee of illycaffè.
