The Fondazione Ernesto Illy considers among its various aims the support for the national and international scientific communities, by operating both philanthropically and directly on common project. It also contributes, through the involvement of the most important personalities, organizations and institutions, the development of debate and reflection in the cultural, scientific and social fields.

The Fondazione Ernesto Illy is continuously engaged in the science and culture of coffee, cocoa, tea and the agri-food sector in general. Today it pays particular attention to research in the agronomic and nutritional field, as well as with the aim of improving living conditions in Producing countries and the producers themselves, in addition to developing scientific research in these areas.
